The languages in Morocco

Moroccans consider the Modern Standard Arabic as the official language of the country. However, more than half of Moroccofs population or about 20 to 25 million people knows how to speak Berber, also known as Amazigh. In terms of foreign languages, the locals can also speak English, Spanish and French. About five million Moroccans can speak Spanish while the locals consider French and English as eprestige languagesf in their country.
